Songfinch alternatives
If Songfinch's $179 starting price or 7-day wait doesn't work for you, Custom Song Gift ($99, 2 days) and Songlorious (from $200, 4 days) are other human-made options, and AI services such as GiftSong, SongOven and this site make a song in minutes for about $20 to $35, as of November 2026.
Why people look for an alternative
Songfinch pairs you with a real artist who writes, sings and produces your song. Prices start at $179 and each artist sets their own. Standard delivery is 7 days, and rush delivery costs extra for every day sooner, up to $200 for the next day.
You don't hear the finished song before you pay. Standard orders get a lyric draft to review first, and Songfinch doesn't refund once an artist accepts the order. For a last-minute gift or a tighter budget, that's where people start looking elsewhere.

AI services write the lyrics from your answers and generate the music and vocals, which is why they're faster and cheaper. No human sings the song. Many of them let you read and change the lyrics before anything is recorded.
Make it yourself
If you'd rather write the lyrics and shape the sound yourself, a general AI music tool like Suno works too. Its free plan gives daily credits (the pricing page lists no song downloads on it), and Pro starts at US$10 a month. You write the prompts and the lyrics, and the gifting part is up to you.
When Songfinch is still the better pick
- You want a real, named singer, and that matters more than speed or price.
- You want a longer song: Songfinch says 2:30 to 3:30 is typical.
- You want extras like a CD, vinyl or a photo music video from the same place.
- You can wait a week, or pay for rush delivery.
Where we fit
Custom Song Generator is one of the AI options above: $19.99 for two full versions of the same lyrics, usually about 3 minutes each, made in a few minutes, with a free 30-second chorus first. Listening software checks the name and the lyrics, and if neither version comes out right, we refund you in full. Two trade-offs: it's AI, not a human singer, and the song page stays up for a year (the mp3s are emailed to you, so keep your own copy). Questions
Is there a cheaper alternative to Songfinch?
Yes. The AI song services we looked at cost about $20 to $70 for one song as of November 2026, and Custom Song Gift's human-made songs start at $99. Check each site for current prices.
Which alternatives let me hear the song before paying?
This site plays a free 30-second chorus with no sign-up, GiftSong a free 60-second sample after you sign up, SonglyGift a free preview after you give an email, and SongOven says you can listen before paying once you create an account. Songlorious lets you pay half first and hear about 30 seconds.
Which one is fastest?
AI services usually deliver in minutes to about an hour. Among human-made options, Custom Song Gift says 2 days and Songlorious 4 days, with paid rush options.
Do AI song services use real singers?
No. The vocals are generated by AI. If a human voice matters, choose Songfinch, Custom Song Gift or Songlorious.
