Custom song gift sites compared (November 2026)
If you want a professional musician to write and sing the song and can wait several days, a human-artist service such as Songfinch or Songlorious is the closer fit; if you want an AI-made song in minutes and want to hear it before you pay, SongOven, GiftSong, SonglyGift and Custom Song Generator all work that way, and they differ mainly in price, number of versions and refund terms.
Prices and policies are as of November 2026, taken from each company's own pricing, FAQ and terms pages, and the steps before checkout, on November 5 and 6, 2026. Check their site for current prices. We did not order from any of them, so this page compares what each site says, not how the songs sound.

Who each one suits
Songfinch suits people who want a real, named musician and are happy to wait about a week, or pay for rush delivery. You choose the artist, can message them, and Songfinch says every song is written, sung and produced by people, with no AI. Songs usually run 2:30 to 3:30, and add-ons include an extra verse, a photo music video, CDs and vinyl.
Songlorious suits people who want human songwriters and producers at a lower starting price than most artist marketplaces, with the option to hear a snippet before paying the balance. It says openly that its production uses AI-assisted tools and artist voices used with permission. Lengths run from two to six minutes.
SongOven suits people who want an AI song fast and like choosing between takes. It delivers two versions within an hour, says you can listen before paying once you create an account, and sells add-ons such as a photo slideshow, a CD and a streaming release.
GiftSong suits people who want a polished share page and extras in one place. After you sign up, you hear a 60-second sample free and can tweak the lyrics before paying. Video gifts start at US$23.99 and printable lyric art at US$8.99. Monthly plans suit frequent senders.
SonglyGift suits people who want the song, a lyric video, a printable lyric sheet and a gift page for one price, with a free preview first (it asks for your email). Its terms offer a free redo, then a full refund, within 24 hours of delivery.
PersonalizedSong.net suits people who are fine paying upfront in exchange for a long refund window: one song, two free lyric revisions in the first week, and a refund within 30 days.
We also checked One Special Song (AI, a fixed US$69, paid upfront with no previews, according to its terms), Custom Song Gift (partner artists, $99, delivery in 2 days, one free revision, no refunds) and Melodify at melodfy.com (a French-language service from €34.90, 24 to 72 hours, with a €4.99 paid sample that counts toward the full song).
If you would rather build a song yourself, Suno is a general AI music tool rather than a gift service. Its free plan gives daily credits (the pricing page lists no song downloads on the free plan), and Pro starts at US$10 a month. You write the prompts and lyrics, and the gifting is up to you.
What we chose, and what it means for you
Custom Song Generator is built around a few deliberate trade-offs.
AI writes and sings the song.
You tell us who it's for, their name, the occasion, one to five memories, a style and a male or female voice. AI drafts the lyrics for free and you can change any of them. The music and vocals are AI-generated, and we say so. If a human voice matters to you, a human-artist service above is the better choice.
Every name is checked by listening software.
Before you get the song, speech-recognition software listens to both versions and checks the name and every line against your lyrics. If the name comes out garbled or missing, we re-record automatically, for free. If neither version gets it right, you get a full refund without having to ask.
Hear it before you pay.
You get a free 30-second chorus, which we call the test pressing. Several AI services above also let you listen first.
Two versions for US$19.99.
One payment gets two complete takes of the same lyrics, Side A and Side B, each usually about 3 minutes, about the same as the 2:30 to 3:30 Songfinch describes as typical. SongOven also includes two versions.
Minutes, not days.
Most songs are ready in a few minutes. After delivery you can change the lyrics once and we'll re-record for free.
Made together, if you like.
You can send family a link so up to 10 people each add a memory or two to the lyrics, with no account needed. When the song is ready, you can record up to 30 seconds in your own voice to play before it, at no extra cost.
What you get.
MP3s with the cover art and lyrics included, emailed to you and on a song page that stays up for a year, plus an AI-painted album cover. It's a digital single; nothing is shipped.
Limits.
Songs are in English only. We don't write about celebrities or imitate real singers. Payments are handled by Stripe.
How we checked
On November 5 and 6, 2026 we read each company's homepage, pricing page, FAQ or help center, and terms, and went through the order form of several of them up to checkout, without creating accounts or paying. Where a site priced by location, we say so. "Not stated" means we couldn't find it on their public pages. If something here is out of date, let us know and we'll correct it.
